In 1999, UNO declared that every year October 4th to 10th to be celebrated as Space Week all over the World especially the countries enlighten to research on the utility of Space for peace. SDSC SHAR also celebrating the World Space Week every year to propagate the benefits of Indian Space Programme to the majority of Scientific, Academic & Common public at various locations in across four States. This Scientific Event comprising Exhibition of ISRO Rocketry & Major mile stones achieved and future missions, organizing educative and awareness programmes like conducting quiz, drawing / poster, Extempore / Elocution & Design / Model competition, running space utility videos, science awareness rallys, etc., to stimulate the minds of younger generation towards Space science.
This year, VIT and SHAR is jointly organizing the Scientific event at VIT from 7th to 9th October-2022 for the benefit of rural & urban community around Vellore district comprising of following events for the students of schools in and around Vellore District:
